Duties and Authorities of DPRD of East Java Province

DPRD has the following duties and authorities:

1. form a Regional Regulation with the Governor;
2. discuss and give approval for the draft Regional Regulation on APBD proposed by the Governor;
3. carry out supervision of the implementation of regional regulations and regional budgets;
4. elect the Governor and Deputy Governor or Deputy Governor in the event of a vacancy in office to continue the remaining term of office of more than 18 (eighteen) months;
5. propose the appointment and dismissal of the Governor and Deputy Governor to the President through the Minister to obtain approval for the appointment and dismissal;
6. provide opinions and considerations to the Provincial Government regarding plans for international agreements in the Regions;
7. give approval to plans for international cooperation carried out by the Provincial Government;
8. request a report on the accountability of the Governor in the administration of the Regional Government;
9. give approval to plans for cooperation with other regions or with third parties that burden the community and the region; And
10. carry out other duties and authorities regulated in the provisions of laws and regulations.
