Rights and Obligations of East Java Province DPRD Members
BASED ON REGULATION OF THE REGIONAL COUNCIL OF EAST JAVA PROVINCE NUMBER 1 OF 2018 CONCERNING PROCEDURES FOR THE REGIONAL COUNCIL OF EAST JAVA PROVINCE CHAPTER VI AND CHAPTER VII
DPRD has the right:
- Interpellation: is the DPRD's right to request information and/or explanations from the Governor regarding Provincial Government policies that are important and strategic and have a broad impact on the life of society and the state.
- Questionnaire: it is the DPRD's right to conduct an investigation into Provincial Government policies that are important and strategic and have a broad impact on the lives of the community, region and country which are suspected to be in conflict with the provisions of the Legislative Regulations.
- Expressing an opinion: it is the DPRD's right to express an opinion regarding the Governor's policies or regarding extraordinary events occurring in the region accompanied by recommendations for resolution or as a follow-up to the implementation of the right of interpellation and the right of inquiry.
DPRD members have the right:
- submit a draft regional regulation;
- asking question
- submit suggestions and opinions;
- choose and be chosen;
- self-defense;
- immunity;
- follow the orientation and in-depth assignments;
- protocol; And
- financial and administrative.
DPRD members have the obligation to:
- uphold and practice Pancasila;
- implement the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and comply with the Laws and Regulations;
- maintain and maintain national harmony and integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia;
- prioritizing the interests of the state above personal, group and group interests;
- fighting for the improvement of people's welfare;
- adhere to the principles of democracy in the administration of regional government;
- comply with DPRD regulations and code of ethics;
- maintain ethics and norms in working relations with other institutions in the administration of provincial regional government;
- absorb and collect constituent aspirations through visits to the electoral districts of each member during recess.
- accommodate and follow up the aspirations and complaints of society; And
- provide moral and political accountability to constituents in their constituencies.
